february book love
You know when you're on a roll for reading. Where you're completely immersed and obsessed with each book, with none of the hangover that sometimes lags after a great story?
I'm totally on a role right now.
I leapt from the Crooked Kingdom to These Violent Ends to A Gathering of Shadows.
Traveling from Ketterdam to Shanghai to multiple Londons.
Here are some quick thoughts on each of these sans spoilers:
Crooked Kingdom: Six of Crows was so good, I couldn't imagine that Crooked Kingdom could live up to it. But it did. Kaz's mind continues to be a wonder. Wyatt develops so much. The scheming never stops, so stop whatever you're doing and read this now.
These Violent Ends: Talk about raising the stakes in book 2. I'm still shaking from reading this. Also, Juliette stalking monsters in beaded flapper dresses and heels forever.
A Gathering of Shadows: I liked the first book in the series, but the second was so much better. Lila, Kell, Alucard. The magic tournament! Really excited to see where this all finishes in A Conjuring of Light.
What have you been reading and loving so far in 2022??
