The end of a month brings up a lot of emotions. Especially when that month is February and the worst two months of the year are over, and spring is on the way.

Hopefully.

I'm also checking in with where I'm at in my two books.

I had planned to be done with The Protectress by the end of February and ready to query, so unless I have the most productive weekend and Monday ever, not gonna happen. I thought I'd be more annoyed, but I'm actually super excited for all of the changes.

The book has taken a really unexpected direction. And, I'm enjoying all the re-writes and time spent thinking and thinking and thinking about how Luna's world works. I'm on the last twenty pages now, and finishing up the ending. So, thinking my query timeline isn't too pushed back.

For Night Soiree, I had planned to be really close to done with my first draft, and I'm at 77,000 words and REALLY close to finishing. Probably no more than 30,000 words left in this story that has been an absolute joy to write.

Along with that, I wrote two new additions in the Beatrix Bobbit world, following their family vacation to a winter beach that's covered in treasures...but they're guarded by a mysterious creature of the water named Gemma. Part 1 and Part 2 are out now, and will conclude with Part 3 on Thursday!

Hope all your writing goals and dreams and thoughts have had a productive February, looking forward to seeing what blooms in the spring.

It's me and my pup, Lula Mae!

If you have to know more, or think you know where Lula Mae got her name without looking, we should talk.
