how to stay enchanted
It's totally natural that you get annoyed with and exhausted by characters in your book or even your book itself, right?! Sorry Luna it's not you, it's me (because I literally wrote you). But as I'm outlining and tweaking book one and working on character arcs for book two, it's hard to keep that spark of loving your characters and story alive.
So, before I let this annoyance creep in, trying to start a new week of writing, revising, editing, re-writing and outlining off on a joyous note with a few new mantras for this week.
When I sit down to write/work on the Protectress...
I will take five deep breaths, then leave everything else behind.
I will be excited to greet Luna wherever she is (even if it is for the thousandth time and even if she's being frustrating). This book is special to me, and it deserves my excitement.
I GET (yup, see what I did there?!) to spend designated time on this story, in this world, growing it and shaping it.
I will stay engaged and enchanted with the process.
Nothing too wild or Silvis shattering, but simple shifts to take into each writing session this week. I'd love to hear what you're bringing into your week or writing, too!
Hopefully you don’t get too annoyed with any of the characters and kill them off prematurely! 😱
