two books in different places
Since I started a new book while Luna was getting another round of feedback, I was rather blissfully, spending those days outlining and then knocking out pages. Ahhh, those were the days basking in the fun of jumping into a new world and also wondering how it was possible to write a book the first time. Did I do it in a dream?!
Then, once I got Luna back, I sat down to make a plan for how to approach these newest edits. And, over the New Year break, finally dove in to making changes, including making the Initiation a bit shorter, setting up the Game and adding a major scene to Luna's first training.
But, once again, for a few blissful days it was just the one book.
That's all over now that I've committed to continuing my 5 daily pages for The Eternal Night Soiree to finish the first draft by February. While, also making Luna edits.
So far, I'm leaning towards Eternal Night Soiree in the morning and Luna in the evening (obvi). Hoping that the fact that these books are in such different places (a first draft vs. a final draft) will make working on both of them each day a Fun Challenge.
Along with all of that, another Beatrix Bobbit is coming on Thursday. The first of 2022, woohoo!
Hope your New Year is beginning with lots of writing (if that's what you want).
