writing on rainy days

Here's looking at you, cow...

Why is it that rainy days feel like the most excellent Reading Days but not necessarily the best Writing Days? Is it just me?

Anyway, Monday gloom is really making me wanna stay in bed and finish Namesake because I'm SO CLOSE and it's so so so good! Instead, I'm wearing eyeliner and real clothes and planning my writing list for the week.

This is what I'm hoping to get done:

• Re-writing a scene where Luna attends her first night of the Counciling, finds out the Protectress rankings after the Game, and visits a new secret spot from the Vis Group. Then, a Big Dramatic Thing happens, and it's all getting re-written. Yay!

• Finishing Beatrix Bobbit's Halloween story where a pumpkin carving contest maybe brings a bunch of pumpkins to life! Penny will eat lots of toasted pumpkin seeds and Mr. Bobbit will definitely procure matching costumes for them both.

• Re-working the final big scene with Luna, and finishing a mysterious journal entry from Professor Lyons.

• Delving back into a side project about sisters who own a Traveling Beauty Salon that sets up shop in a town that's been cursed to live in an enteral Nighttime Soiree.

Just writing this makes me feel slightly better about all the writing yet to come! What writing goals are you working on this week?! I'd love to hear.
